Banana Split Fluff Salad is a delightful, no-bake dessert that captures the classic flavors of a banana split in a creamy, fluffy mixture. It’s perfect for potlucks, barbecues, or any occasion where you want a sweet treat without the fuss.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix
  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1 (8 oz) container Cool Whip, thawed
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (plus extra for garnish)
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips (plus extra for garnish)
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 (10 oz) jar maraschino cherries, drained and halved (reserve some whole cherries for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the instant banana pudding mix with the crushed pineapple and its juice. Stir until the pudding mix is fully dissolved and the mixture begins to thicken.
  • Gently fold in the thawed Cool Whip until well combined and smooth.
  • Add the mini marshmallows, chopped walnuts, mini chocolate chips, sliced bananas, chopped strawberries, and halved maraschino cherries to the bowl. Stir gently to ensure all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and the mixture to firm up.
  • Before serving, garnish with additional chopped walnuts, mini chocolate chips, and whole maraschino cherries as desired.

Notes

  • For best results, serve the salad on the same day it’s prepared to prevent the bananas from browning. If you need to prepare it in advance, consider adding the banana slices just before serving.
  • Feel free to customize the mix-ins to your liking. For example, you can substitute pecans for walnuts or add other fruits like blueberries.
