Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes (with juice)
2 cups elbow macaroni
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 cups beef broth or water
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
In a large skillet or pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
Add the diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened, about 3–4 minutes.
Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Add the elbow macaroni and beef broth. Stir to combine.
Cover and simmer over low heat for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat and sprinkle shredded cheese on top if desired. Cover for a few minutes to let the cheese melt.
Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Use ground turkey or chicken as a lighter alternative to beef.
Substitute cheddar with mozzarella or Parmesan for a different flavor.
Add chopped bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies.
