For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 3 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (240g) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon blue food coloring
  • 16 Oreo cookies, broken into pieces

For the Topping:

  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons (15g) powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Additional crushed Oreo cookies for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust:
    • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
    • Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
    • In a medium bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
    • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form an even crust. Set aside.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Filling:
    • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy.
    • Add the sour cream and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
    • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    • Mix in the flour, buttermilk, cocoa powder, and blue food coloring until fully incorporated.
    • Gently fold in the broken Oreo pieces.
  3. Assemble and Bake:
    • Pour the cheesecake filling over the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.
    • Place the springform pan on a baking sheet to catch any potential drips.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    • Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour to prevent cracking.
  4. Chill the Cheesecake:
    • After the initial cooling, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow it to set completely.
  5. Prepare the Whipped Cream Topping:
    • In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract together until stiff peaks form.
  6. Serve:
    • Once the cheesecake is fully chilled, remove it from the springform pan.
    • Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the top of the cheesecake.
    • Garnish with additional crushed Oreo cookies if desired.
    • Slice and enjoy!
