Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Bake:
    • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Pillsbury Grands, cut into quarters)
    • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
    • 2 tbsp butter, melted
    • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • For the Glaze:
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 1–2 tbsp milk
    • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Oven and Pan:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. Mix the Biscuits:
In a large bowl, combine the biscuit dough quarters, melted butter, cinnamon, and sugar. Toss until the biscuits are evenly coated.
  3. Layer the Ingredients:
Spread half of the biscuit mixture in the prepared baking dish. Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the biscuits. Repeat the layers with the remaining biscuits and cherry pie filling.
  4. Bake the Dish:
Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through. Check the center with a toothpick to ensure doneness.
  5. Make the Glaze:
While the bake is cooling slightly, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the milk quantity for desired consistency.
  6. Finish and Serve:
Drizzle the glaze over the warm breakfast bake. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Feel free to substitute cherry pie filling with other fruit fillings like blueberry or apple for variety.
  • Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an indulgent twist.
