Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Bread is a savory delight that combines tender chicken, crispy bacon, creamy ranch dressing, and melted cheese, all nestled within a crusty Italian loaf. This dish is perfect for gatherings, game days, or a hearty family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16-inch) Italian bread loaf: Provides a sturdy base to hold the flavorful filling.
  • 1 (8 oz) package chive and onion cream cheese, softened: Adds a tangy and creamy texture.
  • 1 cup bottled Ranch salad dressing: Infuses the filling with classic ranch flavor.
  • 1½ teaspoons garlic salt: Enhances the savory profile.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder: Adds depth to the seasoning.
  • 3 cups rotisserie chicken, roughly chopped: Offers convenience and tender meat.
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled: Provides a smoky, crispy element.
  • 3 medium green onions, finely chopped: Adds freshness and a mild bite.
  • 3 cups shredded Colby-Jack cheese, divided: Melts beautifully to bind the filling.
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter: Helps achieve a golden, crispy crust.

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Set to 350°F (175°C).

  • Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, garlic salt, and onion powder until smooth. Stir in the chopped chicken, crumbled bacon, green onions, and 1 cup of shredded cheese until well combined.

  • Prepare the Bread: Slice the Italian loaf in half lengthwise. Hollow out some of the bread from the center of each half to create space for the filling, being careful not to remove too much to maintain structure.

  • Assemble the Bread: Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheese on the bottom half of the bread. Evenly spread the filling over the cheese layer, then top with another cup of shredded cheese. Place the top half of the bread over the filling and press gently to secure.

  • Bake: Brush the exterior of the bread with melted butter. Wrap the loaf in foil and place it on a baking sheet. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese has melted. For a crispier crust, open the foil during the last 5 minutes of baking.

  • Serve: Allow the bread to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Bread Selection: A 16-inch Italian loaf is ideal, but French bread or ciabatta can be substituted.
  • Cheese Variations: Feel free to use mozzarella, cheddar, or a blend of your favorite cheeses.
  • Additional Fillings: Incorporate sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or jalapeños for extra flavor and texture.
