  • For the Pasta and Sauce:
    • 8 ounces pasta (penne, fettuccine, or your favorite)
    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 4 garlic cloves, minced
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 cup chicken broth
    • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken:
    • Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove from the pan and let rest. Slice into strips.
  2. Cook the Pasta:
    • Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer.
    • Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired.
  4. Combine Everything:
    • Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
    • Top with sliced chicken and garnish with fresh parsley.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese on the side.
