These homemade cinnamon rolls are soft, fluffy, and filled with a rich cinnamon-sugar mixture, topped with a creamy cream cheese frosting.

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
    • Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well.
    • Gradually add flour, one cup at a time, mixing until a soft dough forms.
    • Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • Prepare the Filling:
    • In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Assemble the Rolls:
    • Punch down the risen dough and roll it out on a floured surface into a 16×21-inch rectangle.
    • Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough.
    • Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered dough.
    • Starting from the long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
    • Cut the log into 12 equal slices.
    • Place the rolls in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Cover and let them rise for about 30 minutes, or until doubled.
  • Bake:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Prepare the Frosting:
