Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef Tips:

  • 2 lbs beef tips (or stew meat)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet (1 oz) dry onion soup mix
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

For the Noodles:

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional)
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot:
Place the beef tips in the crockpot.
  2. Make the Gravy:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Pour the mixture over the beef tips.
  3. Cook the Beef Tips:
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
  4. Thicken the Gravy (Optional):
If you’d like thicker gravy, mix 1 tbsp of cornstarch with 2 tbsp of water to form a slurry. Stir it into the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  5. Cook the Noodles:
About 15 minutes before serving, boil a large pot of salted water. Cook the egg noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and toss with butter, if desired.
  6. Serve:
Spoon the beef tips and gravy over the egg noodles. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Add mushrooms or diced onions to the crockpot for extra flavor.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley for a touch of color.
