Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until just pink. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Assemble Gratin: Place the cooked shrimp in a baking dish. Pour the garlic sauce over the shrimp. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs evenly on top.
  5. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the breadcrumbs are golden.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine to the garlic sauce while cooking.
  • Serve with crusty bread, rice, or a side salad for a complete meal.
