  • 1 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Garlic Butter:

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
    • Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a sticky dough forms.
    • Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  2. Shape the Rolls:
    • Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal portions.
    • Roll each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking tray or in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes until puffy.
  3. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
    • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt.
  4. Bake and Finish:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Brush the rolls with half of the garlic butter mixture.
    • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
    • Brush the warm rolls with the remaining garlic butter and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra cheesy rolls, sprinkle shredded mozzarella on top before baking.
  • These rolls are best served warm but can be reheated in the oven or microwave.
