  • Fruit Layer
    • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
    • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • Whipped Cream Layer
    • 2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
  • Garnish (Optional)
    • Fresh mint leaves
    • Extra fruit slices

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Layer:
    Cube the sponge or pound cake into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Layer the Trifle:
    • Begin with a layer of cake cubes at the bottom of a small glass or trifle dish.
    • Add a layer of vanilla custard, spreading evenly.
    • Add a layer of mixed fruit.
    • Top with a dollop of whipped cream.
    • Repeat the layers until the glass is full, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  3. Decorate:
    Garnish with extra fruit slices and fresh mint leaves for a beautiful presentation.
  4. Chill and Serve:
    Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
