  • Cookies:
    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
    • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Decorations:
    • Small pretzel twists (for antlers)
    • Candy eyes
    • Red M&M’s (for noses)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Shape the Cookies:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Gently flatten each ball into a triangle shape to form the reindeer’s head.
  • Add Decorations:
    • Press two pretzel twists into the top corners of each triangle to create antlers.
    • Place two candy eyes below the antlers.
    • Press a red M&M into the lower center of the triangle for the nose.
  • Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
    • Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
