Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½-inch rounds
  • 8 oz (225 g) brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • ½ cup pomegranate arils
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped (optional for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp honey (optional for drizzling)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the baguette slices:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet, and brush lightly with olive oil. Toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  2. Add the brie:
Remove the baguette slices from the oven and top each slice with a piece of brie. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the brie is slightly melted.
  3. Top with cranberry sauce:
Spoon a small amount of cranberry sauce onto each slice.
  4. Add pomegranate arils:
Sprinkle the pomegranate arils on top for a burst of sweetness and texture.
  5. Garnish and serve:
Optionally drizzle with honey and sprinkle with fresh rosemary for added flavor. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispness, you can broil the bruschetta for 1-2 minutes after assembling.
  • Substitute brie with camembert or cream cheese if preferred.
  • This appetizer pairs beautifully with sparkling wine or a fruity red.
