These Rice Krispie Christmas Puddings are an adorable and easy-to-make treat for the holiday season. Combining crispy rice cereal, marshmallows, and melted chocolate, they’re decorated to look like mini Christmas puddings with a drizzle of white chocolate and festive holly accents. Perfect for kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Puddings:
    • 3 cups (75g) Rice Krispies cereal
    • 200g (7 oz) milk chocolate, melted
    • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
    • 200g (7 oz) mini marshmallows
  • For Decoration:
    • 100g (3.5 oz) white chocolate, melted
    • Red and green fondant or candy decorations (to make holly berries and leaves)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base:
    • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
    • Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the melted milk chocolate.
  2. Add Rice Krispies:
    • Gradually fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until evenly coated in the chocolate mixture.
  3. Shape the Puddings:
    • Using your hands (lightly greased with oil or butter), shape the mixture into small, round balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them cool completely.
  4. Decorate:
    • Drizzle the melted white chocolate over each pudding to resemble “icing.”
    • Use red and green fondant or candy to create holly berry and leaf decorations, and place them on top of the puddings.
  5. Set and Serve:
    • Allow the decorations to set at room temperature or in the refrigerator. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use dark or white chocolate for the base if preferred.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • For an extra festive touch, add edible glitter!
