Ingredients

Scale
  • For the crust:
    • 1 pre-made pie crust (or homemade, if preferred)
  • For the filling:
    • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  2. Melt Chocolate and Butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second increments, stirring between each until smooth. Allow to cool slightly.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Fill the Crust: Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading evenly.
  5. Bake: Bake the pie for 30–35 minutes or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing. Serve as is, or with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.

Notes

  • You can use dark chocolate chips for a deeper flavor or milk chocolate for a sweeter pie.
  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top after baking for a sweet-salty combo.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
