Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey (preferably 93% lean)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil (for cooking)
  • 4 slices of your favorite cheese (optional)
  • Keto-friendly buns or large lettuce leaves for serving
  • Your choice of toppings: sliced avocado, tomato, pickles, sugar-free ketchup, mustard, etc.

Instructions

  • Prepare the Patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Mix until just combined; avoid overmixing to keep the burgers tender.

  • Form the Patties: Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and roll each into a ball. Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for about 10 minutes to firm up slightly.

  • Cook the Burgers: Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and add the avocado oil. Place a few turkey balls onto the hot surface, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Using a spatula, press down firmly on each ball to flatten it into a thin patty. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the edges are crispy and browned. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheese if using, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts and the patties are cooked through.

  • Assemble the Burgers: Serve the turkey smash burgers on keto-friendly buns or large lettuce leaves. Add your favorite toppings and condiments.
