This creamy and fizzy punch blends vanilla ice cream, lemon-lime soda, and a hint of almond, creating a festive drink that’s enjoyable for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1–2 teaspoons almond extract, to taste
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda (such as 7UP or Sprite), chilled
  • ½ gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
  • Fresh cranberries and sprigs of rosemary for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Base:
    • In a large punch bowl, combine the chilled pineapple juice, white cranberry juice, and coconut milk. Stir until well mixed and smooth.
  • Add the Ice Cream:
    • Gently add scoops of the softened vanilla ice cream into the punch mixture. Allow it to float and melt slightly, creating a creamy layer.
  • Incorporate the Soda:
    • Slowly pour the chilled lemon-lime soda into the punch bowl. Stir gently to combine, preserving the carbonation.
  • Garnish and Serve:
    • For a festive touch, float fresh cranberries and rosemary sprigs on top of the punch.
    • Serve immediately in glasses or cups, ensuring each serving has a bit of the creamy ice cream mixture.

Notes

  • Chilling Ingredients: Ensure all ingredients are well-chilled before preparation to keep the punch refreshingly cold without needing excessive ice, which can dilute the flavors.
  • Serving Size: This recipe yields approximately 16 servings, making it ideal for medium to large gatherings.
  • Alcoholic Variation: For an adult version, consider adding a cup of rum or vodka to the mixture. Always inform guests if the punch contains alcohol.
  • Storage: This punch is best enjoyed immediately. If you anticipate leftovers, store the base mixture (without soda and ice cream) in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Add soda and ice cream just before serving to maintain the desired texture and carbonation.
